Prevention Programs

Tobacco Free Northeast PA (TFNE) oversees tobacco prevention programming in the Northeast Health District of Pennsylvania.  Our goal is to improve the quality of life in our communities by reducing tobacco use. TFNE communicates information to the public as well as assist and strengthen professional partnerships to meet the goal of protecting the environment and the health of our community.

TFNE (formerly known as Coalition for a Smoke-Free Valley) has a 23 year history of providing tobacco control services in the Lehigh Valley as well as the Northeast Health District.  TFNE approaches tobacco control comprehensively by creating dynamic and evidence-based programming in areas such as youth (P10 Groups, peer education), prevention (merchant enforcement programs, secondhand smoke initiatives), advocacy (promotion of PA Clean Indoor Air Act), cessation (local programs and free PA Quitline) and professional education (Every Smoker Every Time webinar).
